Troopers Volunteers Many non-profit groups depend on the generosity of friends and fans to keep the corps rolling down the road each summer. The Troopers are no different. We depend on the support of our community, friends and fans to help us through each year. Volunteering with a competitive drum corps is hard work - the hours are long and the pay is little (well, none at all) - but the rewards are endless and priceless.
CDL required.All DOT screening. Driving twin screw leased sleeper tractors-pulling 40 ft mobile kitchen or 45 ft equiptment trailer. Set up of daily meal program;one breakfast, one lunch, one dinner, and one snack per day. Approx. 79 total day meal plan. Serving appox 175 people per meal. Full or part time. SERV-PRO CERTIFIED or be able to get qualified. Able to prepare all meals during move in and while on tour. Working in close quarters 40 ft mobile kitchen trailer. Appox 165 people per meal. 4 meals per day. Duties include food prep, drink prep, grocery store runs, clean up, truck cleaning. Full or part time. Able to organize and repair, sew buttons, zippers, alter jackets, pants, mend flags, maintain hats, scarves, belts, buttons and cross sabers, for 150 member corps. Launder uniforms appox every 2 weeks, dependent on schedule. Close of season inventory of all said uniform parts when turned in after finals. Full or part time. MUST HAVE CURRENT REGISTRATION LPN, RN, PA. Working with our medical person in organizing and maintaining all medical records, medications and general health and welfare of all persons on tour with the corps. Full or part time. Job includes working with our souvie manager, organize and managing inventory both road and back up stock; Setting up displays. Share responsibility of driving. Selling to the public. Full or part time. This includes, help in serving, meal prep, clean up, drink prep, grocery store and pharmacy runs; Doctor, dentist, hospital, airport runs and a million other things that come up on tour. We can never have enough hands to help!
